Business Leader Prayer Guide #20

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
– Proverbs 3:5-10

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for grace. Thank you for all the ways that you provide beyond what we deserve. You know my needs before I ask, yet you delight in my asking. Show me how to honor you with my first fruits. Speak to me about your purpose for the resource that you have so graciously given me. I commit to obey your word to give in faith. May my business be an example of this verse in extravagant generosity and extravagant provision. Provide for our needs as we honor you with our giving.

In Your Own Words

Take a moment to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you about his purpose for the resource entrusted to you, and about how to honor the Lord with your giving.

Reflect: In your own words, thank God for where you have seen His provision and express your commitment to honor Him in everything.

Request: In your own words, make your needs known to God. He knows our needs but still invites us to ask.

Rely: In your own words, express your commitment to God’s leadership and His glory with the outcome.

In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
